National Ecko A731
Manufactured in India

National Ekco was a radio manufacturing unit in Independent India that collaborated closely with Ekco UK. Most of the components, chassis, kits came from UK and were assembled in downtown Mumbai.

Model A730 and A731 came in the same year; the difference is that A731 contained a RF stage, the A730 did not. The Model with the RF stage was 26% costlier than the A730. There is definitely some value attached to the RF stage I feel, especially those days. The set lacks ferrite rod antenna resulting in poor MW and MSW. However it provides for coil packs.
